Based on the overwhelming response received to the inaugural IESA technical tour conducted during October - November 2012, IESA has decided to conduct one more technical tour to meet the needs of the industry.

IESA announces the 2nd IESA Technology Study tour for exploring the ever increasing opportunities in Energy Storage in India, scheduled to be held during April 2013 (15th-20th). Following up on the findings of the successful maiden technical tour held during October – November 2012, where the status of EES in India was assessed through interactive sessions with the regulatory, government, utilities, C&I customers, Technology manufacturers, financial bodies, renewable tech companies, and other key stakeholders in the storage arena, the second edition is designed to empower the findings and paving the way forward for a strong, sustainable road-map.

IESA will be conducting series of webinars and presentations as a pre-cursor to this technical tour to continue to generate awareness about the opportunities for energy storage and microgrid integration in India. These events will be organized in collaboration with various industry groups including Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy in India (AEEE), Indian Merchant's Chamber (IMC), Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and  Aggriculture (MCCIA), US India Business Council (USIBC) and Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Executive Director of IESA will be participating in the ARPA-e Energy Innovation Summit (Feb 25-27) in Washington, DC. He will also deliver a special presentation at NY-BEST's Annual conference "Capture the Energy" in NYC on 6th March to highlight opportunities for energy storage and micro grid deployments in India. IESA has also been invited to be part of the Energy Storage Summit in Dusseldorf, Germany later in March (18-20), where there is tremendous interest from European Technology developers.
