In a bid to provide a further boost to the country’s renewable drive, the global experts from the solar and storage industry were called on by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking their valuable suggestions on affordable solar power for all.

The government’s move has come to take further steps in order to achieve its renewable energy targets.

Further, the discussion theme was based on the role of the Indian diaspora in capacity building for affordable solar power.

During the meeting, Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Executive Director, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) discussed the role of Energy Storage for enabling solar adoption, energy access and e-mobility in the discussion.

While speaking on the occasion, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), Executive Director, Dr. Rahul Walawalkar said, “It was a privilege to be a part of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference and discussing the role of Solar and Energy Storage for India’s development. I look forward towards the launch of National Energy Storage Mission to support energy access, e-mobility & RE Integration. India Energy Storage Alliance supports the vision to make India a global hub for R&D and manufacturing of Advanced Energy Storage systems and EVs by 2022 and we’re continuously working towards it.”
