About The Organisation
Savitribai Phule Pune University, formerly University of Pune and University of Poona, is a collegiate public state university located in the city of Pune, India. It was established in 1949, and is spread over a 411 acres campus in Ganeshkhind, Pune.
The University hosts 54 academic departments on campus and Centre for Energy Studies under School of Technology is active in Energy Conversion, Energy Utilization, Energy Conservation and adoption of Renewable Energy Sources.
The department also hosts research activities related to Battery Energy Storage Systems and other Energy Storage verticals.
