IESA webinar on High inventory management of lead acid battery during low sales period (Safety and O&M Perspective)

Industrial & automotive battery dealers, wholesalers, service centers & transit warehouses carry a month or two’s stock of car, inverter, UPS, solar & other batteries for resale or distribution. During economic slowdown or complete lockdown as at present, the battery stocks may stay in the warehouse for long periods of 4 - 6 months.

In 4 to 6 months, batteries will get discharged and some may even get sulfated, causing early failure, warranty claims & unnecessary financial loss.

For the OEM dealers of cars, CVs, two/three-wheelers and battery-powered electric rickshaws & electric scooters, the vehicle will be alright even after 6 months but the battery will be discharged & in extreme cases, a shortened life

While waiting for the lockdown to end and the sales to restart, there are a few actions that can be taken, to keep the batteries in full health. This webinar will discuss measures to maintain battery health effectively.

The webinar fees collected will be donated to PM CARES fund
