Karnataka EV Summit 2019

Electric Vehicle –Current Scenario in Karnataka A rapid developing Karnataka is at the cusp of making a transition to new mobility solutions. Karnataka has a ready ecosystem for a vibrant automotive sector with a large pool of technical manpower, robust R&D capabilities and manufacturing expertise. The sector has deep backward linkages with metal industries, capital equipment, trucking, warehousing and logistics. The Department of Industries; Government of Karnataka jointly with Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) would be organizing an Electric Vehicle Summit on 30th day of January 2019 at Taj West End Hotel, Bengaluru. Along with Karnataka Electrical Vehicle Summit, an exhibition of Electrical Vehicles, latest EV & Charging Technology, Services, Start-ups is also organized by IBC Expo team for companies interested in launching their electric vehicles, related products and services in the Indian market.

Objective-Why do we want to do this!

  1. To maintain the lead share of Karnataka as a preferred destination for attracting investments in the manufacture of Electric Vehicles.
  2. To attract investments of Rs 31,000crore and create employment opportunities to 55,000 persons both from supply and demand side.
  3. To create a conducive environment for the transition to Electric Vehicle environment from Internal Combustion (IC) engines.
  4. To provide opportunities for developing R&D in Electric Mobility.
  5. To have a delegation of electric vehicle manufacturers, charging station manufacturers from the below-mentioned provinces of South Korea, Taiwan which has rich electric vehicle manufacturing ecosystem
  6. To have B2B meetings between Indian manufacturers, entrepreneurs and South Korean, Chinese Entrepreneurs with the objective to forge alliances.
